2009 Vauxhall Zafira auto 2009 exclusive 1.910
Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Year: 2009
Variant: auto 2009 exclusive 1.910
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
light will not switch off any of the methods don't work had a diagnostic check done says no fault codes detected, but when deleting codes is pressed the light goes out only to come back on a few hours later, it is suggested the it is a mil no. that relates to the auto transmission , but I fitted another gear box at great cost and the light has come back on again any suggestions as to what could be causing this to happen

I thought the INSP light was in relation to the servicing and not a fault light , was on the Vauxhall a family member once had .Clearing any codes wont eliminate that as far as I know .

I agree with Whittingehame,
INSP is for service related options.
Vauxhall have a flexible service system,
at the time of reset when a service is done the car can be programed to flag the next service warning at mile intervals or other factors.
All tied into the oil sensor in the sump,
which is where I'd be checking first.
Vauxhall diagnostics can communicate the body systems module for diagnostics.
It sounds like you've been communicating with the engine ECU.
