Not without code reading it.
There has to be stored fault codes.
You can buy OPcom Vauxhall diagnostics on Ebay for around £20-40 and I know it'll read both code and live data on your "Zaffie!".
All you need is a laptop.
Far better than firing parts at it.

hi and thanks for getting back to me, I had the car put on a comp last weeks and codes came back for the egr valve and map sensor, garage also adviced me about the swirl flaps :( would I need to go back to the garage to get the codes cleared or would they automatically get cleared? thank

A non functioning EGR valve WILL complicate diagnostics because it's cycling gas past the AFM.
This will mean the AFM reading the computer is reading is wrong.
So it's possible the AFM isn't faulty at all!
And if still in limp home then there are still faults causing this.
Was it a new EGR?
Or used?
Either way it now needs re-read for code..
