2009 Vauxhall Zafira insp light will not reset

Yeah,
All those tricks really only apply .to 90's cars.
Besides which The light is only telling you something is WRONG.
Even if you could trick it the will come back on.
You need it code read.

I knew that it needed code reading and have had that done but it comes up with no code faults found so cannot delete

I'm afraid you are reading the light wrongly , it is not indicating a fault .INSP light is telling you a service is due .Try this from a previous post on resetting .

Try this ,

Ignition Off
Hold Trip Reset In (keep held in)
Turn on Ignition
Still Hold Trip Reset for approx 12 seconds, the InSP should change.
release trip reset.
switch off ignition
switch on ignition and check.


( later models )

" Late models:-..... ignition off--Hold down brake pedal--press and hold trip button---switch ignition on possition 2--- wait for "------" to appear in display--- release all and turn ignition off. Sevice display has been reset.

Early models:- As above but no need to depress brake pedal.

fault code found P0700 MIL TRANSMISSION WHAT FAULT WITH TRANSMISSION COULD IT BE IT IS AN AUTOMATIC

the automatic transmission will not let engine idle in drive with brakes on cuts the engine to a dead stop
