2000 Vauxhall Zafira heater matrix control

The heater matrix control has gone only getting cold air wherever the heater temperature is set and a clicking noise coming from the inside is there a way to open the temperature flaps without opening the control box (cause it's a pain to try and open) and in this cold weather it's a pain having to wipe the inside windows to de mist them and have both side windows open an inch
