2007 Vauxhall Zafira error code p1112 and u2103

Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Year: 2007
Variant: 1.6 Energy
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
recently bought a zafira. the 'spanner in the middle of a car' light was showing. The dealer told me it was the cam position sensor that need replacing. I put it on the computer to confirm n it was as the dealer said. a few codes came up but my mechanic erased them. P1112 and U2103. the car was not pushing as it should do. I could never go over 70 on the motorway. we put in the new sensor. the light came off the dashboard. car drove well but would occasionally jump at 30. spanner light came back on for 2 minutes then came off but then the engine management light came on. it came up with unknown fault which my mechanic erased. 10 mins into driving from the garage the spanner light came back on. this time it would turn off when the engine was switched off n back on again. it would then come back on after 3 or 4 mins. it never went off when the cam shaft sensor want working. i believe the sensor is working but we can seem to find what the 2 faults are. car runs better than before n i am able to driver over 70. could you help please. i m worried this faults might be an issue.

1.6 2007 manual petrol.

just found on you tube how to get the faults on the car using the pedals. the cam shaft fault code as come off but i am now getting a 2 codes 111261 and 111505. looking online i was able to find a solution for 111505. i m going to try that but i need help with 111261.

111505 the post read

Hi, Just thought I'd let you know that after a lot of messing around checking everything out I've solved this problem (and apparantly it's one Vauxhall know about but don't really say much)
The actual problem is not the temp sensors or coolant or anything like that but it is actually the wiring that leads to the second temp sensor (the one attached to the rad at the bottom front drivers side of the car) Basically the wiring installed in all of these cars is too short and therefore it has a continuous strain where it attaches to the temp sensor plug and over time it just knackers up.
All you need to do is remove the connector plug attached to the temp sensor (do not take out the temp sensor - leave that in place), then take off the wires attached to the connector plug, add a bit more wire to make the loom a touch longer (two inches extra should do it), re-attach the wires to the connector, re-attach that to the temp sensor and jobs a good un. (make sure you cover the newly attached extra bit of wire with electrical tape or something though)
All you need to do then is clear the codes and hassle free motoring, no more engine light. TA DA!

I hope this helps loads of people that have this problem cos there's nothing out there about this fault really and it took me ages to discover what the issue really is.... People, it's a VERY simple DIY job - save yourselves stupid dealer costs (around £200) all it will cost you is a bit of wire and electrical tape and about 30 minutes of your time.
