it may well be an injector fault. check the resistance of it.12 to 16 ohms is about right (no4}cylinder

Did you fit a good quality coil pack? Is it the same code as with the old coil pack?

The engine ECU is very prone to false codes and engine malfunctions,
Do a search for engine ecu repairs.

If the injector is tested and fine I would swap them over with another cylinder to see if the code moves to another cylinder.

Also do a compression test to see if one or more of the 4 valves are burned in the affected cylinder

hi i dont no how to check the resistance and ye it a gd coil pack i have to gd ones and wen i change them over it says the same i have put injectors in an still saying the same i have put a new rail on as well and still the same

hi i just took my ecu of it looks new and its got a sticker on the back with a number on 1142 thas it how do i no wat the rest is so i can c if there is any more the same out there thanks

Truthfully mate I can't help if you don't know how to do basic fault finding.
Sorry but don't mess with it if you are unsure what to do. It will make things worse and ruin the car totally.

The engine ECU is on the side of the engine. Nothing inside to repair yourself is all else fails just Google engine ECU repair and talk to one of the guys if you send the ECU to them and its working it won't cost much. Sorry but its hard enough trying to diagnose faults online without having to explain how to do simple test procedures.

corse i no how to do basic fault fiding how do u thing i no this i have just put new pistons in new head new gear box just never hurd of that so dont start getting funny with me o an i no people who can an have the ****e to do it

No offence,but a compression test is very basic.

basic if you have the tools for the job.

Surely if you can change pistons and gearboxes you would know what a compression test was and how to carry it out.

i dont have nothink to do one am not in to cars just not paying the daft prices for a garage to do it an no i sorted it so it was none of them wat u said
