Rattling in the wheel

2004 Vauxhall Zafira 2.0 diesel
Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Year: 2004
Variant: 2.0 diesel
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Hi
When I drive along there is a rattling type of noise in the right front wheel, seems to stop when I turn a corner and is only evident when going in a straight line, Is this likely to be the wheel berring?

Mostly on turning corners the noise will get worse. But wheel bearings will rumble and drone. Not rattle. Have a look underneath and tap everything, close to the wheel see if you can make the noise.

Do you have wheel trims on?
Or alloys. The alloy wheel centre caps can rattle and be a reall annoyance

Nah I have steel wheels, there is a wheel cover part, it sort of sounds like something is hitting the cover but cant see any evidence of it when I looked, tyre needs changing anyway so ill change that and see if it helps :-/

Good to hear you are a small independant garage owner .I also ran my own business for many years prior to running major dealerships and appreciate all .It was not I that started the mud slinging which has now got to the farcical stage .I do not laugh at other posters comments and encourage more to participate , I only highlighted your mistakes when you started getting personal and trying to tell me what to do , otherwise I would not have acted this way .I certainly dont know everything , far from it but have a lifetime of experience in the motor trade to help with questions posed . Please dont tell me how to act or behave on the forum like you are a headmaster or in your own garage talking to any staff you may or may not have .With regard to the Fiat Panda , it's always been classed as a hairdressers or girls car , that's all .If your happy driving it , that's all that matters .Things must be quiet if you can spend all day on here , hope things pick up for you , best wishes .

Just another thought , does the rattle disappear if you touch the brakes slightly ?

tony811976 ... Peace ? Lets agree to disagree now and again and not get personal . It's times like this where we miss Private Messaging on here which is available on other forums and avoids squabbles in public .

P.s
Welcome to the forum .

About time, adults should be able to have a civilised argument, sort it out and get past it, just don't insult my panda😋 lol
