Loss of power at 3000rpm

My car starts fine and drives fine until I get to 3000rpm it doesn't seem to matter what gear I'm in it gets to 3000rpm and the revs fly up but there is no acceleration please help as do not have a clue thanks

Sounds like clutch slipping and needing replaced .
