2006 Vauxhall Zafira side lights come on with engine off

I am getting quite sick of this now - in 12m 1 have had both back doors rewired, a new gear box, new clutch now this ....
when I turn the engine off both side lights come on but when engine is switched on they turn off - I can confirm it is NOT the parking lights - grrrr My tax is up at end of month so need to repair or sorn
plz can someone help I have web searched to no avail for 2wks now ... grrr

You say " both side lights " , do you mean front and rear side / tail lights ?

all 4 corners/ side lights come on.

Check that your switch is okay.

As of today, I have exactly the same problem with a 2006 Zafira.

any of you guys found the remedy for this have same problem, side lights all on with ignition off. turn ignition on and they go off
