EGR valve fault

the engine management light was on and i went and plugged the diagnostic computer in and it came up with an EGR valve fault so i changed the valve and a few dags later it came up with the same fault an then i put another new EGR valve in and it is still showing the same fault and i don't have a clue what else it could be

Didn't know they made Zafiras in 1991 to be honest .Checked inlet manifold is not coked up ? Would help if more info supplied about engine fitted etc .

the year of the car is actually 2001, it is a 1.6
