2002 Vauxhall Zafira drivers side rear electric window only opens half way?

Hi Guys, I only bought the car today so apologies if this is a real newbie question but the rear drivers side electric window only goes down half way. To begin with I thought this was normal as it stops smoothly etc with no noises exactly half way down. But the offside rear window opens fully. I didn't know if it had anything to do with the child locks (so if the door had the child lock on it only opened half way?) but I have turned the lock on & off and it makes no difference.
I'm not sure where to start looking for the problem as I'm not sure how it is supposed to work! Any help appreciated, thanks.

some rear windows only go down halfway but dont think this is the case with yours you could try re- programming the one touch operation shut window keep button pressed see if it goes down think this is explained in handbook then hold button to close

As suggested solution above , only run window all the way down by continuously pressing window switch and hold switch in lowest position for 3 to 5 seconds. You may hear/feel a click. Immediately run window right up to fully closed position and repeat procedure by holding switch up for 3 to 5 seconds. The window motor should now have learnt full extent of travel and now go up/down in small increments with brief operations of the window switch and go all the way up or down if switch is held for a little longer.

Thanks both, I have tried this but no joy, the window will only go half way down no matter how I do it. I guess this means there's a problem with the runner maybe?
