hi just bought a y reg Vauxhall zafira diesel when it just starts up a runs sitting there its ok but when I drive it down the road it smokes does any one on what it could be

Could be head gasket or unburnt fuel .Check coolant level , if ok , likely to be unburnt fuel and needing checked out .

If purchased from a dealer return it for a diagnostic,it may just req.a filter change.

Possibly steam and not smoke if the head gasket is allowing water into a cylinder

You would have to have a very sympathetic dealer who would do any work on a 12year old car sold FOC and there are very few about .If losing coolant and head gasket suspect , a block test will confirm if gasket / head gone or not .

I have had a look and some one has added a pipe to a bottle from the tea piece from the injecter pipes I thought it went back to the pump but that's been blanked off does any one no whats going on
