knocking noise more like arattle i replaced drope links 2mouths ago so dont think it them could it be ball joint noteist a bit of ware on inside tyer help as its driving me mad

Advise you to check the suspension for play balljoint,s steering rod,s and drop links.

Just to add to above , check coil springs .After checking and rectifying any worn steering / susp parts , get alignment checked .

got 2 new coil springs dune for mot last year if ido about 5mph and turn steerlng back and forth i get the knocking

Could be a top mounting on your shocker has seized bearing,s or missing bearing,s you can normally hear this outside the car it,s like a twanging sound when turning.
