Need to replace water pump but need to take off timing belt

Try a Haynes manual. You can get one from the local library if you don`t fancy buying one.
Make sure you understand whats involved-if in doubt, get a garage to do it.

ps. if you do it yourself make sure you renew the belt even if it looks in good condition.

Should also say that you need to replace the tensioner as well. Buy the complete timming belt kit--not just the belt.
Well worth the extra few quid.

Make sure you set timing up correctly or you will have problems with the engine .Always double check before finalising .

If not completely confident in what you are doing you could always take it to a garage. That way you will at least have a guarantee

If , as you state , you have already stripped it down , you would be as well finishing the job yourself as you are nearly there .Just set up timing correctly , fit new parts and rebuild , saving on garage costs .

Always turn by hand 2 complete turns prior to starting to ensure everything,s turning ok and there,s no contact,when I say by hand I mean with a ratchet or bar on the bottom crank bolt,clockwise.

if you haven't already started you need locking pins to hold the cam and cranksahaft pulleys in place before removing belt
