Cold start drive problems

Hi all
I have a vx zafira 1.8 comfort x reg(2000) Every morning the car starts first time every time, the problem arises when i put it in gear, revs disappear and i get no drive. If i leave it running without pressing accelarater revs go up and down randomly. After 5 minutes "warm up" the car drives off. The car can be very jerky too when driving . any help annyone

Check / replace engine coolant temp sensor .Check no vac hoses / pipes leaking .

Could also check coil pack and plugs .

if it is an auto first thing to check is transmission fluid level

ECT lets ECU know how much fuel to supply to engine , more fuel on cold start , like old choke .

could even be an oxygen sensor fault
