Car starts ok but when first started starts juddering and when driving feels like its not getting enough petrol, any ideas!!

Engine coolant temp sensor .Lets the ECU know how much fuel to supply to engine i.e more fuel when cold starting .

Would get the codes read it could be a thermostat issue where it,s not opening at the correct time/temp.and causing the ecu to run at a default value and as previously suggested the engine coolant temp.sensor could cause such issue,s.
