2006 Vauxhall Zafira fan is working but i cant change airflow exit

i turned on my blowers one day and heard a thud,since then i cant change where i want airflow to exit from. it seems as if a main conduet has dislodged maybe under the dashboard. how do i access to fix it for myself as i cannot afford the garage bill. many thanks Chris.

Sounds like air distribution flap is inop .Check heater linkage under dash and you may be able to move it by hand as a temp measure till you see why it's not operating .
