Auto gearbox no drive when cold

2004 Vauxhall Zafira 1.8 se auto
Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Year: 2004
Variant: 1.8 se auto
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Hi my car is a automatic and on cold mornings or when the car is cold I have no drive or very little drive if you let it warm up a bit then you have some drive. When you have been driving for a while then the gearbox behaves as it should but it still acts sometimes like a slipping clutch but as I said its automatic. Oil level is correct this was done at vauxhall about 6 months ago and no leaks that I can see, gearbox is dry. Thank you in advance for any answers.

a garage could carry out a stall test to the spec of your car, if fails the box will need a rebuild est £1000-£1500 the box has a set of wet clutches and if they slip its rebuild time. you may be lucky with a scrap yard box but a lot of work if that fails as well

May be worth flushing out with new fluid if that's not been done.
