2001 Vauxhall Zafira egr valve

I have had the inlet manefold off and cleaned it as it was full up with black stuff as it came up with a egr code and went in to safe mode i have put all back together i have cleanad the egr valve and when it gets to running temp it go's back in to safe mode would it be the egr valve pact up thanks

After removing the carbon was the valve operating freely / not sticking ?

Is it the same code now that is triggering the light or something else .

Yes it is .it has two systen valves aswell one is for the egr valve and other one is for the the inlet manifold switchover valve ther is not alot of sucthion on these

No leaks from any vac hoses / pipes or manifold ?
