Can see if an egr valve is working by takeing it off the car and looking at it

If you take it off you would be as well cleaning and freeing it off if needed or replacing if required .

How would i no if it needs to be replaced i hav had the ilet manefold off and clean it all out and when it gets to runnig temp it go's in to safe mode

It's a case of checking the valve is moving freely and not sticking .

I have cleaned it i have push the valve up and held my finger over the enf and it stays up till i take my finger away

Doesn't help with two posts running at the same time for one problem . I'm off to the football now and wont be able to answer any further questions for a while .
