2001 Vauxhall Zafira cutting out

Can someone help us please???..
My wife has a Vauxhall Zafira 1.6 every now and then when driving the carr looses power even when foot is to the ground after a few seconds this then rights it self but your driving with little power then it like clears itself and its back to normal, we had it put on a machine and we where told it was the O2 sensor changed that but it still does the same thing. Any one please can you help as its costing pounds in it might be this or it might be that.

Could try cleaning the throttle body or it could be a fault on the throttle position sensor...
