diesel leaking from under passenger side of vehicle seems to be coming from a square silver unit that fuel pipes run through. car running ok

Sounds like!e it could be the fuel filter. Most cars these days use push fit fittings. Try pushing them on a bit more. Also the rule return goes back into the top of the filter on most these days and the plastic union can be a pain to reseal. A new filter should cure it.

Probably got it fixed as post is nearly 2 years old .
