2002 Vauxhall Zafira petrol pouring out but not out the tank

HELP!!! mother in distress!!!
My zafira has been dripping petrol for the last few days, and today it has a contiouous pour. Have been underneath to have a look, and its pouring from the round cylinder NEXT to the tank, not the tank itself. Any ideas, and is it a big job? cant get seen by mechanic until tomorrow.

sounds like the fuel filter is corroded and needs to be replaced with you saying the cylinder next to the tank these are best replaced every year with a full service
