2005 Vauxhall Zafira handbrake light on while driving

Hello, i am wondering if anyone can help me! Over the last few days i have noticed my handbrake Light on my dashboard kept illuminating intermittently, and is now on constantly. What would cause this problem and how can i solve it? Thanks to all in advance...

First thing to check would be the brake fluid level in the reservoir. Top up with the correct grade of fluid as necessary...
