Sounds like you have bought the wrong bulbs?

hi,if the side & brake lights are in one bulb.[two filiments in bulb] you may have fitted the bulbs in the wrong way round.
if you look at the two pins on the body of the bulbs one maybe lower than the other, there are matching slots in the bulb holder. fit bulbs to match slots,

hi, i took these bulbs back and the shop gave me some more l.e.d brake light bulbs in exchange to try....again no change..when i press the brake pedal the side lights light up...p.s. forgot to mention on my earlier post that my side light bulbs are the l.e.d bulbs aswell.. does this make a differance,am i just overloading the circuit hence the side lights coming on everytime i press the brake pedal or should i just put my normal brake light bulbs back in and give it up....
