My blowers came to a gradual stop (quite quick)
then emmited a kind of burning smell. I have no response from heater on/off switch but the a/c light will come on when i turn the switch. I had no previous problems or warnings. all coolant levels fine and no signs of leaks.Fuses
under bonnet appear fine on inspection

Heater resistor pack?
Most blowers have their speed controlled by a resistor pack which adjusts the voltage to the fan giving a range of speed.
