just had my moted failed on the emissions test at idle and 2nd fast idle is it a cheap fix or not any help please

Depending on the final readings it could be the cat the needs replacing or possibly the lambda, a code read would help with the diagnosis

Ask for a copy of the emission/test and you will tell from that whether its a catalyst fault or engine running issue.

just to let you all know it was the cat that was the problem it had broken up inside thanks for all the help
