2000 Vauxhall Zafira the dreaded white smoke!

Car has 110,000 miles on the clock! Changed thermostat when heating failed. Now have white smoke even when car is up to temp. But, no water shows on the dipstick and the miles per gallon is averaging around 28 / 29. What could it be other than the head gasket?

still prob head gasket needs compression check to confirm

i think you really need to get a head gasket test done first to eliminate that

The 1.6 engine, 110,000 on the clock. any other ideas?
