Mileage counter

1999 Vauxhall Zafira 1.6 life manual

the mileage counter was working fine but has now stop working but the trip meater is working fine can any help me out with this problem. or have any suggestion what may cause this problem

Maybe instrument bulb inop.if digital display.

it just show up like this ------ and would u have 2 take the dash apart 2 do this?
