These symtoms can be down to the fuel line getting too hot. But that would only apply I suppose if something has been moved or disturbed to cause it.

This may be the common problem of the EGR valve sooting up. The EGR recirculates exhaust gases into the cylinders to alter the mix when running too rich. The valve clogs up so when the engine is hot the thing kangaroos and or stalls.

I solved mine on my old 2000 1.6 Zafira by blanking off the EGR outlet with a plate I bought for £2.50 online, but left the EGR attached to the electronics so that the ECU would not be affected. All that happened is that the emissions light (engine shaped orange light) showed when engine was hot and I stepped off the gas. The main ECU/Engine fault light should be the orange spanner on a Zafira but check your manual to confirm this.

Otherwise unplug the EGR valve electrics, unscrew it from the engine and clean it out every few months with carb cleaner.

Hope this helps.
