Cooling temps

On long journeys the temp gauge drops really low and can not get heat into the passenger area. Around town normal temps and does not overheat, Engine works fine no warning lights on - goop MPG

Sounds like thermostat jammed open .

I changed the thermostat but now does not warm up around town either. Temps sit at 69-72 degs whilst driving and 76 degs when stationary. Thermostat was a vauxhall part not a patent part as well.
