2000 Vauxhall Zafira fan not working

Hi, the warning light for the fan is on and so is the engine light. Please can someone help me with this problem as the car is not running right it seems to drop power. Many thanks

Could check coolant level and oil level first .If both o.k , best to get it scanned and see what has triggered engine management light .
