Gearbox suddenly got very stiff

used van daily ,then one morning i could hardly get into gear ,its much stiffer than used to be.have nt noticed any other symptons like crunching gears .
cant find anything in manual about checking gbox oil.
a couple of weeks previos to that prob the airbag and spanner warning lights came on,intermittant to start but now on most of the time!
any ideas?

Sounds like clutch fault .

hi.cured the problem by liberal use of 3in1 oil on the moving parts where levers on top of gearbox move when changing gear.is back to normal now.can only assume water had got on or into cable sleeves ?
