2002 Vauxhall Vivaro hard to start

hi please help , my old vivaro is hard to start then drives great for a few miles then totally cuts out whilst driving, i can turn key off then on while moving and it kicks back into life right away then does the same after a mile or two ,

Could try changing the fuel filter , especially if not been done for a while as a start off point .

Thanks.will have a go at that ,if still having probs can I email again. Code says gearbox temperature fault but I can't see how there is a link with my problem

If you have already scanned it and it's showing that fault code , most likely that is your fault .
