I think you mean to regenerate the DPF .When the filter reaches a certain percentage full it can no longer clean itself and neither can you by driving .

Thank you for your advice, when we plugged it in it said the filter was up to 51% full and the van has tried to clean over 12 times but unable to. Do you think it just needs physically cleaning or a new filter?

I'd suggest a can of "Wurth" DPF cleaner.
it injects actually into the DPF.
Punch in Wurth DPF cleaner revues into google and judge for yourself.
I have used it and it does seem to work.
And anyway a £20 gamble compared to a new lump is worth the risk.

I will look this up thank you, can the DPF filter not be replaced? I do hope it’s not gonna be a new lump, it’s already had a new turbo, ERG, etc.

if it wont regenerate by itself its probably not getting hot enough...have the garage tried a forced regen?
If its only at 51% then its not too bad...due you use the correct oil etc?
Sounds like an issue with a fifth injector or injectors.

The garage said this particular van won’t do a forced regen! It’s booked in for next Monday so il get them to check the injection and see if there’s a chance of getting it to force regen!
