Stereo system silent

Anybody else suffering from a fault where by the stereo system goes silent upon starting the engine , no matter how high I put the volume it can only be rectified by swith in off engine and opening the door .

Oh it's been back 5 times , had 3 new radios and still nobody knows how to fix this problem.....
