Burning smell from wheel and hot

2005 Vauxhall Vivaro 1.9di
Car: Vauxhall Vivaro
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.9di
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Hi i have recently bought a vivaro van 2005, noticed a burning smell coming from rear drivers wheel and also the rim was very hot to touch. Has been into garage to have the handbrake checked, was told that was fine although my brake discs needed changing as they were excessively worn, so changed the discs which i am told also have a wheel bearing in them. Drove around for a few days thinking everything was fine then i notice the smell again and smoke coming from my rear disc. Has been into garage again to have the brake caliper changed as that could have been faulty, the smell is now not as noticeable although after a motorway journey today the rim was too hot to touch and nowhere near as hot as the other side so I'm guessing the problem still hasn't been fixed.

Can anybody please help? Thankyou

First thing I would do is change my garage , how many shots do they need to get it right ?Could be something as simple as a h/brake cable or caalipe linkage sticking .

I was thinking that as they arent filling me with confidence! Did an 80mile trip yesterday and there was no burning smell and it wasnt hot then 80miles back home and seemed fine again, both wheels the same temp and no smells so im puzzled
