MY VIVARO RUNS FINE EXCEPT WHEN THE TEMPERATURE IS REALLY COLD IT COUGHS & SPLUTTERS FOR NO REASON. IT WILL DO THIS FOR A SHORT TIME AND THEN CLEAR ITSELF.
THE DEALER CANNOT FIND A FAULT SO HAS SUGGESTED IT IS A FUEL PROBLEM AS THE FUEL IS OBVIOUSLY NOT COVERED ANDER THE WARRANTY.
VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY IN MAIN DEALERS AND HAS BEEN FOR TWO WEEKS. THEY HAVE TOLD ME THAT I MUST GET A SAMPLE OF THE FUEL TESTED BEFORE THEY CAN CARRY OUT ANY FURTHER TESTS, SO AS TO ELIMATE ANY FUEL PROBLEMS.
If they want to eliminate the fuel which they suspect MIGHT be the fault why should you get it tested ? If they suspect it might be something else are they going to get you to test that also ? They have had it for two weeks and that's the best they can come up with ? Get on to Vauxhall Customer Services or Technical Services and see what they can do to help you .
Not sure if this helps at all, but the link below talks about "inherent fuel pump problems" on these vehicles. Mainly refers to earlier models, but they are still having problems and as it says..."vauxhall are aware......."
