Hi i have a 2003 Vauxhall vivaro. It currently has a running problem, It is realy slow below 3k rpm. And i mean realy realy slow and once i get up the reves it takes off, also sometimes will go into limp mode (not alot though). I have replaced the map sensor and this never changed anything, I have also replaced the thrust sensor, The thrust sensor is ticking furiosly when the engine is running? even the new sensor? why would this be?

If by map sensor you mean the sensor with one pipe running to it mounted up on the right side near the glowplug module then it's not a map sensor it's the turbo boost pressure sensor.
And if by thrust sensor you mean the part that has two pipes going to it,one of which comes from the turbo boost pressure sensor that is the turbo boost pressure soilenoid.so your two for two wrong, but if you are keeping going?
clean all the small diameter pipes that run to the sensors, and the one that runs from the vacuum pipe.
After that you need test equipment,or you can keep throwing money at it,enough and you just might get lucky and hit the fault.
Get it code read, even Renault will only charge an hour, probably less the you've spent so far.

I have had problems with my van popping and banging, around 3000 revs it was a nightmare, lights coming on, jerking and jumping, a bloody nightmare, 1st cleaned then Changed EGR valve and all the usual stuff. but it was still not right After all the hassle
I have found that the Turbo Boost sensor (The pump looking thing with 2 rubber pipes) can be fitted upside down,(Pipes at the top) and water gets inside the unit,
It should be fitted with the pipes on the bottom (it looks like it is upside down) I have had 3 of the damn things until I noticed the rubber filter full of water, I bought a new one , fitted it with the pipes AT THE BOTTOM, and the van runs better than it ever has, Still cant believe it is the same van, so smooth, responsive and fast,

Hope this helps
