2006 Vauxhall Vivaro fuel loss

Car: Vauxhall Vivaro
Year: 2006
Variant: 2.0td
Categories: Leaks & Noises
VEHICLE WAS DRIVING BADLY AND I THOUGHT IT RAN OUT OF FUEL . SO I PUT IN £30 DIESEL AND NOTICED LEAK FROM COVER ON BOTTOM OF ENGINE. GOT VAN GOING AND TOOK COVER OFF TO C WHERE LEAK WAS . I CHECKED FUEL LINES BUT THEY SEEM OK. THERES A PIPE AT BACK OF ENGINE MADE OF RUBBER NEAR REAR ENGINE MOUNTING ABOUT 1in IN DIAMETER WHERE FUEL IS LEAKING FROM ( DUMPED £30 DIESEL IN APPROX 1/2 MILE). IF YOU START ENGINE IT SEEMS TO DUMP LOADS OF FUEL FROM THIS PIPE. DONT KNOW IF THIS PIPE SHOULD BE FIXED TO ANYTHING OR IF THERES A BLOCKAGE. WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP

THANKS

Yes replace any suspected fuel line on a diesel as even the smallest of leaks will introduce air to the system and cause difficult starting and poor performance

THE PIPE IM TALKING ABOUT DOESNT ATTACH TO ANYTHING AT THE END AND IS OPEN . WOULD IT BE A BREATHER PIPE OR PIPE TO TAKE EXCESS DIESEL FROM INJECTORS
