2002 Vauxhall Vectra rev counter tries to drop and tries to stall it self

when you start the car and pull off its fine but when u stop and car is at a stand still thats when the rev counter drops slightly and it tries to stall but some days it can be fine but other days its a nightmare

Could be throtle body needing cleaned / replaced.
