1998 Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 Arctic
Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Year: 1998
Variant: 1.8 Arctic
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Exhaust smoking when engine warmed up, usually in traffic/parking, no real loss of power but using oil. possibly valve seals? expensive to replace? Also engine racing after warmed up, replaced damaged bend hose leading to throttle body, no difference. Poosibly idle control valve? How easy is it to clean/replace?

yes really easy just remove the idle speed control valve and soak it in petrol and clean it with a brush if you can let it soak for a few hours
