2000 Vauxhall Vectra oil leak

hi i have a vectra 2.2 estate on a y plate it broke down and found out it was thae alternator was told that it was due to it getting covered in oil which seems to be leaking from where the belts are some were in that area anyway auto electrision could not find out when he did lternator but it seems to be getting covered again and oil seems to be leeking again around that area but cant see were any ideas would be a help before i have to take it to a garage thanks

you need to clean the oil off the engine to see where it is coming from,then retorque the cam cover bolts if loose and remove the cambelt cover to check the camseals are`nt leaking

Sounds like knackered oil seal .

camshaft oil seals need replacing and rocker cover gasket and then your porblem will be solved no more oil leaks anyway in that area but you will need a timing belt to as you need to remve the timing belt cam sprockets so have a garage do this as its no a straight forward job to do hope this helps you here
