2001 Vauxhall Vectra battery not charging

Year: 2001
Variant: 2.2 auto

new battery put on. Alternator put on tested and working before. Also battery bulb in clocks renewed. But still no charge going to the battery.

Sounds like you got a wiring fault .

when you check the charge rate take a reading from the back of alternator and then take reading from battery,both should be approx the same,if there is a voltage drop then you need to check the lead from alternator to battery,check the continuity and resistance of wire in case there is a break,on some cars this wire has a fusible link which is part of the wire
