1997 Vauxhall Vectra management light flashing

when i turn on the ignition, the engine management light flashes twice, pauses, then continuous flashing........

anyone got an idea?

i have just replaced the crank sensor, but light was doing this prior to changing...

please help the wife is desperate to go shopping???

Could do clip / pedal test and see what codes show ,
