how do i remove front cigarette lighter by gear stick

Take it wont pop up when pushed down or pulled out ? Could check fuse for cig lighter and replace if blown . Then if jammed might clear and jump up when it heats up .If that doesn't work have to remove complete lighter from console by unscrewing from below.

thanks whittingehame have changed fuse but it blew when plugging in sat nav charger(charger is ok tried it another car)tried to get lighter out but cant get to back of it.do i need to get a repair manual to show me how to access the lighter
