2002 Vauxhall Vectra wiring aftermarket drls to stop flashing

Year: 2002
Variant: 2.2 petrol Elegance

I have wired into my side lights a set of after market daytime running lights but when I turn off the side lights the DRL`s keep flashing intermittantly.
This can be a serious problem as It makes the car look like a traffic police car and I have been stopped once already.
Anybody got any ideas how I can stop this

if the kit came with wiring instructions then double check you have fitted it correctly,guess there is a relay/module somewhere in the circuit,make sure this is wired up correctly
