2003 Vauxhall Vectra no drive

First thing to do would be check ATF ( AUTO TRANSMISSION FLUID ) .

check the auto fluid is correct level and not have a burnt smell to it,check for any metal fragments in oil,it should be a clear red colour ideally,also check the selector cable adjustment is ok

ive got a car sales and only yesterday i got a new car in. it was a auto vectra 2.2 petrol on a 53 plate. i checked all the docs that came with it and in there was a bill for a new auto box from vauxhall. not sure if its a common thing to break down. check box fluid first then a good code reader may be able to read the transmission.
also there is a bill in there for an update for the auto transmission. try vauxhall as the may be a recall for the update, may have nothing to do with it but worth a try if its free.

hi thanks for previous advice needing further help have tried the fluid and that seems fine a friend of mine then tried checking the codes there was 2 errors but he didnt say what they were anyway he cleared them car ran great for about an hour then no drive again we getting all sorts of advice but getting nowhere fast appreciate any advice.
