This is a very strange request and problem which I need help with. The engine light came on recently and I took the car to a Vauxhall garage. At the moment, the car has been there for 2 weeks, and they do not know what the problem is. They thought it was a solenoid issue, new one put in, not fixed. Oil change has been completed, not fixed. Was wondering if anyone had any ideas I could throw at them. We are now at the stage of removing the cylinder head. Obviously costs are building up.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Very surprised a Vauxhall garage cant find why a car wont start after two weeks especially after engine light on . Was there no stored fault codes ? Normal procedure would be to check basics i.e ,is car getting a spark , fuel ,compression and take it from there .

Check the air conditioning control module and if the sticker on it has software version s3.10 or s3.12 then this is most likely the problem as they are common for going and the vehicle wont start.I would think that vauxhall would of checked this as it is a really common fault but then again im finding so many garages these days cant even fix there own brand of car.People laugh when you mention this sort of fixes as they think why can an air con module cause a car to fail but trust me it can.The problem with vauxhall is its on the can network and its a nightmare to work on and i dont honestly think there are many people that understand it.lol
