2002 Vauxhall Vectra cold starting

I have just started to encounter problems with starting my Vectra from cold YET Again. I have had a warranty on the car, that ran out in March 2010, and have had a new alternator and have had the injector seals and spill off pipes replaced on the car 4 times by Vauxhall in the warranty period. This must be a common problem with the car as it keeps happening but is very expensive to put right (£400 each time) and Vauxhall do not want to know or even help. I have had a new battery in March 2010 too. The problem has just started to rear it's torment again and I am getting a little fed up of it happening now. Along with this the Engine Management (engine block) light comes on on the dashboard and stays on until I rev the vehicle. This morning I have encountered a problem that the engine block light came on and I lost my rev counter and my revs were very hesitant as well and it took an age for the vehicle to pick up any speed at all. If anyone has got any fixes that are not going to cost the earth I will be very much appreciative (hopefully they are not going to cost me dearly either) as I love the car and do not want to have to get rid due to these problems. I have also had the glow plugs replaced and the engine block re-bored.
Any fixes would be great.
